*Due to the value of the ESC, the motor is discounted. Other sellers probably won't tell you this, but some reviews say these 3800 motors get hot, especially on 3s. They can burn up. If you use it, you'll probably want to gear down, get a heatsink with a fan, and maybe stick with 2s batteries. Also, avoid installing in heavy vehicles and monitor the temps very closely. Sold as is.

Horizon sells just the ESC for $159 when it's not on sale. So you could be getting the motor for about $59 rather than near $80. The original retail price of both combined is over $235. So you're getting a decent discount.

Great for use in various lightweight 1/10 scale and some smaller vehicles.
May have minor blemishes from the factory or manufacturing marks from the holes getting drilled. There may be a tiny sticker on the shaft side of the motor can to note it's new. It can't be seen if installed in a vehicle.
An additional discount might be available if an offer is made which clearly states that either the esc or motor is not wanted.
