Luminous, extremely bright, they are alive, lively contrasting colors reveal tumultuous vitality. All of these can be said of Duaiv's artwork. An exceptionally talented artist, Duaiv eludes classical approaches. The colors he uses are just like the Grasse flower festival. There are greens, pinks, yellow and flowers even when he puts Paris to sleep on the canvas.

Jean-Marie Duaiv was born in 1952. At the age of 9, and with his left hand, he painted his first oil. Luckily for him, his parents did not block his artistic vocation. To some extent it can be said that his parents diversified his vocation by enrolling him in both the Conservatory of Music and the School of Fine Art in Paris.

His life found its orientation between these disciplines:
  • He drew his love for the violoncello from Pablo Cassel
  • Salvador Dali confirmed his pictorial vocation
  • To top it all, he fell in love with a classical dancer-Magella-whom he married and they have two beautiful daughters, Kalinka and Vlassevkaia
Having won many awards and accolades, such as the "Greci Marino," International Academecian, Commander of the Order of the Star of Europe and the European Foundation Price to mention a few. Duaiv is acclaimed and collected not only in his native France, but with an ever expanding following throughout Europe, South America and North America.
