Interesting Bits: Beautiful MidCentury Modernist NEILS ERIK FROM - N.E. FROM of DENMARK, gleaming .925 sterling silver hand-wrought brooch - featuring a MINIMALIST sprig of POINTED LEAVES & BERRIES. Each leaf is a duplicate of the next —-6 convexly curved longish forms which curve at the tip. Where each leaf affixes to the branch, a 4mm sterling berry is affixed covering the joint of leaf to branch; six leaves alternating left to right down the branch, six berries attached at each joint. Very subtle and pleasing form...very pretty. N.E. From created several subtle varieties of this type of brooch using this style of leaf and berry combination. Beautiful design system. The brooch’s safety catch works perfectly, fully hallmarked and in very good, gently worn condition and ready to wear horizontally or vertically. A wonderful, contemporary, albeit vintage, beautifully designed and executed piece -- by an expert Danish designer-silversmith. Created, following the long standing Danish tradition of high quality, original design, utilizing substantial amounts of top grade sterling silver in the making of an expertly silversmithed piece....this brooch is no exception.
