Up for sale here is this NOS vintage Clarostat 1k ohm 2-watt potentiometer, dated 1967 and Made in USA. I believe this is an S-taper pot. It has a nice long round 1/4" shaft, so any standard 1/4" round knob that locks on with a set screw will fit. You can always cut down the shaft if you want it shorter. This is guaranteed to work great for you, though it may need some Deoxit. This is a pretty rare potentiometer and would be great on your amp, though it may be slightly too big for a guitar.
