A beautiful set of hand coloured lithographs of various species of moth from Japan i.e. Ephyra splendens, Abraxas elegans, Argyris superba, Acidalia unistirpus, Erebomorpha consors, Acidalia steganioides, Abraxas whitelyi, Icerodes fraterna, Abraxas junctilineata and Scotosia lucicolens. A numbered key below identifies each moth specimen.
The exquisite detail and quality of colouring can be seen in the close up image provided. The colours remain fresh and bright - a highly decorative print for display.
