Covers the continent of Africa from the "Mountains of the Moon" to the Mediterranean. Caravan trails across the Sahara Desert are indicated. Original outline hand colouring. Dated in the plate (1848) Fine condition other than some very light patchy spotting. Very faint old central fold line. Approx. 16" x 12.5" (410mm x 310mm) map area only with margins beyond.
