SNES RGB 4.1a by Borti4938
The THS7374 based SNES RGB amplifier circuit designed by Borti4938 provides exceptional RGB video output for SNES Mini and 1CHIP consoles. It fixes problems like the dreaded "vertical bar" that can be seen in dark backgrounds, and provides a sharper picture than the standard S-RGB encoder that Nintendo used in the SNES. If your setup doesn't require dejitter functionality, this mod provides the same excellent output quality of my SNES RGB + Dejitter mod at a lower cost. I hand assemble these boards
Features of the mod:
- High quality RGB amplifier based on the design by Borti4938.
- S-Video restore for SNES Mini/jr.
- TTL C-sync restore for Mini/Jr and 1CHIP-03 models.
- Low pass filter that can be toggled on or off using J1.
There are 2 purchasing options for this listing.
- RGB Amp Board: You will receive one RGB amplifier board fully assembled and ready to be installed.
- Installation Service: You will send your SNES to me and I will install the RGB amp for you. I will configure the board to your specifications, so I will need an explanation of your setup and the particular SCART cable you plan to use. You pay shipping to me and I pay the return shipping back to you. You must purchase both the board and the installation service if you are not providing your own RGB amp board.
Recommendations:
For video cables I recommend Retro Access, Retro Gaming Cables in the UK, Insurrection Industries, and HD Retrovision Component cables. This mod outputs TTL C-Sync, so if you are using a C-Sync cable make sure that it has a resistor installed on the sync line.
