Climax, Minnesota, founded in 1896, was named after a chewing tobacco company.
Climax Tobacco.” Climax was a brand of plug (chewing) tobacco manufactured by
the P. Lorillard Company in the 1890s. Plug tobacco is a form of chewing tobacco
that is pressed into sheets and held together by molasses. The P. Lorillard
Company was founded in 1760 by Pierre Lorillard, and is the United States oldest
tobacco company.
This Tin has never been cleaned all original.
