Hi friends... I recently returned from another fantastic antique picking journey through the Golden Triangle. This time I was fortunate enough to come across a stash of old authentic handmade lacquer ware boxes made with teak wood, and real gold leaf. Boxes of this quality are hard to find these days. Although they are in new condition, they date back to the 1940's and were designed by and made under the direction of the shopkeeper's late father who was a master woodcarver and lacquerware maker. She had a stash of these stored away in a side room in her shop since she was forced to move to a smaller shop (note the photo of me with the Karen Hill Tribe women above). I was immediately impressed with them and I bought the entire lot. Now I am passing on this great deal to you. These are not reproductions, they are authentic 100% hand carved teak wood boxes decorated with real gold leaf and finished with natural lacquer.
