For sale are fast growing organic healthy duckweeds collected from several of my guppy fish tank. Looking at the size, color and morphologic appearance, there maybe at least two or more unidentified species of duckweed included. Some small snails such as ramshorn snails or scuds or bloodworms may hide in between. They are very nutritious to fish or other aquatic or terrestrial organisms but not for human consumption. Due to continuous growth of the plant, you will see some
plants with only one leaf and some have more than one. Each leaf will
grow into new plant and propagate quickly if conditions are favorable.
The first picture was taken today(8/12/2018),the second and third picture was taken a few months ago. The last picture was taken on 12/21/2017.
The pictures shown are just for reference, not the exact number of plants you will get. The quantity you will get are more than 999 counts (one to ten or more leaves per count) and I'm sure you will not get less than 999 leaves because some newly reproduced duckweeds are still stick together and I'm not going to separate them manually. Please keep in mind duckweeds are very tiny plants in nature and don't be disappointed when you got them.
(For people who care about quantity or have the interest to test my honesty, you need to immerse all of them into water and then count with tools like forceps or needle. Please don't ask me for refund or replacement before you count. Visual inspection without using a tool to count is inaccurate and unfair to me.)
Duckweeds are easy plant but not quite hardy, they will turn yellow when exposed to full sunlight for a long time. Believe it or not, they are still growing even after 10 days of undeliverable return. So, please buy with confidence.
Duckweeds have more than 100 uses. To name a few, you can use it to feed your herbivorous fish such as koi, goldfish, catfish or small turtles; use as a feed supplement for your livestock; use in water treatment to remove unwanted pollutants such nitrates and heavy metals.....
I tried to describe as clearly as I can here but there were still some customers asked me if duckweeds are edible for human or not. I would say yes in the future but I've never tried it. I only used them on my backyard chicken. They like it very much and leave no residue every time I feed them.
