'These photos were taken in the spring of 1964. It's a time that will always belong to The Beatles. No other journalists were allowed near them at that time. They were so busy that Brian Epstein had ruled that they should not be bothered by the press. So Max and I were very lucky: they were good to Max and they treated me as they always had, like an old friend.' Astrid Kirchherr.       ISBN 090436153X  (1996)

This Liverpool days #102, has 113 images. A small photo of Paul McCartney is on the front cover.
In 1964 Astrid Kirchherr and Max Scheler traveled from Hamburg to London to photograph The Beatles. Astrid already knew The Beatles well and had photographed them when they'd lived and worked, honing their craft, in the Hamburg clubs. This new assignment for Astrid and Max involved shooting The Beatles on the set of A Hard Day's Night and in their London homes. From there the pair traveled to Liverpool to photograph The Beatles' haunts, other Liverpool groups and to record lunchtime sessions at The Cavern Club. The result is an amazing archive of photographs. - Genesis Publications.  ISBN: 0904351440  (1994)
