A set of flags for the French Army of the 17th and 18th Century. The French Army fought in numerous wars between 1700 and the revolution and the standards of their infantry did not change a great deal in this time. Regimental names did change from time to time as regiments were sometimes named aftrer their colonels. Many flag colours date back to the 17th century (particulary for the senior regiments, but you'd need to read individual regimental histories to determine which regiment was founded when). During the Seven Years war - SYW France was allied with Austrian Spain and Russia as well as and numerous small german states against Britain, Prussian and Hannover. These flags are absolutely ideal for SYW and the war of Austrian Succession and the war of Spanish sucession. For each regiment I have provided the white national flag (and variations where applicable) as well as the coloured regimental flag.
In all there are enough infantry flags here for over 100 different regiments, printed onto 9 sheets of A4 paper. Two sample pages are shown.
These flags are also usable out of period for reasons noted above, with many predating the seven years war and dating back into the 17th century. See also French Cavalry Flags.
Flags are ink jet printed to order onto 90gsm paper on day of despatch.
