They are an absorbent stone with a soft cork backing that protects your furniture, popular licensed design. To clean coasters: soak in hot water with a liquid detergent, rinse & air dry. For more stubborn stains soak in 1 part bleach & 3 parts water until stain is gone, rinse & air dry. I got these as a gift several years ago to go with my vast chicken collection. They are very nice.
