JEWELRY VANITY BOX ANTIQUE GLASS TOP VICTORIAN SCENE MIRRORED LID 1940's VINTAGE

Up for your consideration is this really beautiful Antique Wooden Jewelry Box. The top shows a print of a Victorian garden scene or party....quite an unusual scene... There is one women near the center dressed in pink and it appears that rather aggressive man is reaching to grope her...   • FEATURES: Carved and textured wood frame and top frame. Painted in a gold tone. Victorian Print on the top under glass. The inside is divided into 3 compartments. The bottom is a gold color leaf and flower embossed print. The inside of the lid has a (somewhat clouded) mirror. The lid has a stop - so you can open it and it stays up with out falling back.

  • DIMENSIONS: The outside of the box measures 10-3/4" wide x 8-3/4" long (front to back) x 2-1/2" tall. The smallest compartment is roughly 3-1/2" square the next compartment is 3-1/2" x 5-1/2" and the big one is 3-1/2" x 9".

  • CONDITION: This comes to you in excellent condition. The box is nice and solid. All 3 pieces of glass are nice (the top - the bottom, and the mirror) although being about 90 years old it does show some "cloudiness". The only mentionable would be that there used to be a piece of lace attached to the underside of the lid (to lift it with) that is missing so until that is replaced to lift the lid.     You really like the thing, but not so much the price...

    I find cool stuff, do some research and list it for what I think it's worth. Sounds pretty simple but sometimes not. So if this is something you really like but its a bit more than you had hoped to pay, then be sure to watch this because I can't send it to the bank, and if it ends without a buyer chances are good that I will drop the price and re-list it until it does sell! Two things for sure - it will get sold sooner rather than later, and that's better for both of us.
