Here we have a real photo postcard of a fairly rare scene taken on the deck of the U.S.S. Powhatan during World War I, showing the soldiers all gathered together for a spur of the moment photo. Really a wonderful image. USS Powhatan (ID-3013), originally Hamburg, was built in 1899. Fourth ship of the name, she was commissioned as a troop transport and renamed Powhatan in 1917. She decommissioned in 1919 and was turned over to the Army Transport Service. Condition looks to be pretty good. Buyer to pay shipping, good luck!
