How to remove your Nissan Skyline instrument cluster :

1. Start vehicle turn steering wheel all way to right, there will be a black cover around cowling , unscrew
2. Turn steering wheel all way to left , there will be a black screw cover around cowling , unscrew
3. Lower steering column and also pull forward
4. Unclip the the bottom cowling trim, there will be a bolt on the right hand near the pillar
5. Now look underneath, remove 4 x 10mm bolts
6. This will now loosen the instrument cluster housing , the complete hood will come out
7. Unclip the plugs connected to the instrument cluster
8. Now unscrew the black screws that hold the instrument cluster in the housing.

You would normally have to go to the main agents and buy a new instrument cluster and then get it coded which can be expensive. Buying a second-hand unit will mean that the unit may not be able to be coded to your vehicle, it may not be compatible, this may in time suffer from the same problem. Also, the mileage and VIN number would be incorrect.
