Description: Limited Edition. Hardcover. 8 5/8" X 5 5/8". 92pp. Edition limited to 1,239, this being number 848. BLack cloth over boards, with upper board lettered in faded gilt. Moderate wear to binding, with edgewear, white stain to edge of upper board, and dust soiling. Inked notes to front pastedown. Pages are very musty, but clean and unmarked. A quite handsome, if musty, 1952 limited edition of this collection of autographs and paragraphs on their subjects by Edgar Allan Poe, which first appeared in the Southern Literary Messenger in 1836. Good.
