- Your purchase helps pay for the costs of feeding and caring for rescued kittens. Sometimes we are able to trap the mom and her kittens yet other times we can only rescue the kittens after mom has nursed for a few weeks. We prefer to allow the mama to care for her kittens as long as possible yet fearful of them becoming ill during the heavy Spring rains.
- Kitten care is very time consuming and costly. We go through kitten bottles like crazy because as they grow up they chew on the bottle nipples tearing them apart! Kitten replacement milk formula costs between $5.99 and $8.00 per can and we can go through 2 cans per day easily.
- Kittens are adorable yet messy little angels especially when learning to use the litter box! We use a lot of paper towels!
- Kittens also require many blanket and towel changes, which also means a lot of laundry and laundry detergent!
- We in in desperate need of $$$ to cover costs for kitten care and their future veterinary costs that include, spaying, neutering, microchipping, vaccines and exams.
- The kitties appreciate any assistance at all and understand you may have your own kitties to care for!
- Freya's Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill, all volunteer cat rescue. We offer education about feral cat care and encourage new cat owners the importance of spaying/neutering pets for their health and to alleviate unwanted behaviors that may result in their future abandonment. Sanctuary is offered to cats in need. The Kitties thank you for your generosity!! *Mew*
