This is a Beautiful Sitting Santa Claus Bank made in Japan. It is in very good condition commensurate with age and use. It has no cracks or chips. It is beautifully crafted of a ceramic/pottery/plaster type material to resemble a Santa Claus sitting on his bag and smoking a pipe and it is hand painted in red, white & black paints. It has a rubber stopper on the bottom, but it is not perfect and broken in spots and seems dry rotted from age. This bank would make a wonderful addition to your collection or Christmas decor or it would even make a lovely vintage gift for a collector friend or loved one.
