Gaius Julius Caesar was a Roman military and political leader and one of the most influential men in world history. He played a critical role in the transformation of the Roman Republic into the Roman Empire and his conquest of Gaul, extended the Roman world all the way to the Atlantic Ocean. He made two military expeditions to Britain in 54 and 55BC.

Unhappy with Caesar's reforms, Marcus Junius Brutus, conspired with others to murder the dictator and restore the Republic. The assassination occurred on March 15th 44BC and led to another civil war.

This Julius Caesar bust is made from lead-free pewter and mounted on top of a 17.5cm blue or red pencil. The pencil is printed with one of his famous quotes ' Veni Vidi Vici' which translates from latin as 'I Came, I Saw, I Conquered'.
