This is an authentic antique Mandalay Period (1752-1885) Buddhist Temple bell that was used in a Buddhist Wat. This 18th century bell is was exquisitely made with silver & bronze. It is heavy with nice thick walls, a heavy clapper that give it a exceedingly beautiful tone. . Most old bells are missing the clapper but this bell has the original clapper still in tact. Bells like this are still used in Buddhist Wats (temples) throughout Southeast Asia and are also used by monks during religious ceremonies and festivals. This magnificent piece is a must have for any serious bell collector or devout Buddhist practitioner. It will look splendid in your home office or temple.
