An original, copperplate antique map of ENGLAND and WALES by Robert Morden. First published in Camden's Britannia in 1695, this is the 1722 edition printed on paper which carries a water mark. The map is framed and glazed (450x400) and hand coloured. The printed area is 420x365mm. Features of the map include an ornate title cartouche, three mileage scales, lines of latitude and longitude in the map borders. The map shows in small detail hills, rivers, towns, villages and roads. Apart from a couple of small circular water stains close to the map's lower border, the map is in very good condition. NB in order to limit shipping costs and risks of damage the map will be sold out-of-frame to international buyers.
