Marshall Cavendish Great Composers and their Music CD Magazine Vinyl LP Back Issues

Great Composers and Their Music not to be confused with a similar series called Great Composers.

Great Composers and Their Music were issued as fortnightly magazine periodicals (32 pages) with accompanying Vinyl LP (Audio Cassettes were also available). The magazine charts the life and achievement of great composers, and places it in historical and musical development context. The evolution and form of classical music, together with instruments is also discussed.

These where published in the UK from 1983. Binders where also released through the lifetime of the series to hold the magazines. The vinyl LPs comprised recordings by prominent artists, orchestras and conductors, released on the prestigious Deutsche Grammophon, Decca and Philips labels.

They were released as 52 issues in 4 volumes, plus a extra Christmas Issue released November 1983 which I have numbered as 99 in the list below. An optional further 13 issues of Opera followed (53 through 65) to make a fifth volume.

The whole series was later republished, but this time with an accompanying Audio CD instead. The Audio CDs followed the same content of the original Vinyl LP's, but recorded by less famous artists. In the issue details below, I have listed the different artists for both the LP and CD issues, where known.

I'm selling the magazine, Vinyl LP's, CDs and binder's individually to help complete a collection, although I would entertain serious offers for my entire stock.

As you can read below, for anyone ordering multiple items, I only charge postage on the heaviest item. For this listing only, the P&P I've set is for a magazine or CD. Posting an LP or binder costs me a lot more, so I have reflected the difference in the unit prices. If your order three or more LPs and / or binders I'll apply a discount of £1.50 for the third and all subsequent LPs and / or binders, BUT only if you use the Add To Basket and request total feature BEFORE payment. Note - You have to for  use a browser for this as the feature is not available in the app.

Condition Notes: All items are from an avid music collector.
Magazine Grades: I'm happy to to use the term Like New to describe the condition for every magazine. The magazines have been stored in the publishers binders, and even though 35 years old are uncreased and unmarked.
Vinyl LP Grades I''ve used the Grade Like New to cover what record collectors call NM & EX, and Very Good to cover VG+ and VG. All the sleeves would be graded EX.
CD Grades: Like New - the CDs look as though they have never been played, even the jewel cases have little to no shelf wear. Very Good CDs have the most minor of signs of use.
