This is a complete Mattress Replacement System including a 48" wide x 80" Long Mattress and 16 Liter High Volume Pump offering Alternating Pressure/Low Air Loss and Static Mode.
The Ultra Care Xtra is a bariatric air support system that provides pressure relief for patients up to 1000lbs. The dual functions of Alternating Pressure and Low Air Loss provides the maximum benefit in this mattress system to help heal existing pressure sores.
Because bariatric patients require deeper air cell support, the mattress is 10" deep when fully inflated. Low Air Loss is provided by a unique independent architecture that does not compromise the weight bearing capacity of the mattress.
This meridian mattress system comes with a high-flow 16 liter pump which is upgraded from the standard size. The higher flow pump allows for faster inflation and will last longer allowing longer service life then the standard pump. The pump has 10, 15 and 20 minute cycle times. There are 5 comfort settings to allow easy pressure adjustment as seen on the photo of the 4253E pump. This 16L pump can be used with many of the meridian medical mattress systems.
The cover on this mattress is Nylon/urethane coating which allows for low shear and low friction. It has a vinyl coated waterproof barrier inside which prevents system contamination. This cover is anti-microbial which reduces contamination. This system is very easy to clean.
