Crispus was the 1st son of Constantine the Great by his first wife Minervina.

Fausta, the second wife of Constantine, and the mother of his three other children, Constantine II, Constans, and Constantius II, fabricated evidence of treason by Crispus against Constantine 1st. Crispus was soon executed.

Then Constantine learned the truth by the wife of Fausta's lover. He condemned Fausta to death.

She was lowered into a bath of boiling water.
