This is a wonderful Haitian Folk Primitive Oil Painting by noted artist Eddy P. Louis.   It was painted around 1950.   The work is housed in a gorgeous heavy hand-carved wooden frame also in the primitive style - complementing the painting.   Louis work is found in numerous collections around the world.  And the work is highly sought after.   The subject matter, the composition, the expert use of the pallet knife, and overall fine execution of this village scene make for a truly outstanding example of vintage art from the Caribbean.  The overall piece measures 18.5 inches wide by 24 inches tall.  It is being offered for the first time from our collection.  And for a very fair price.
