Beautiful Antique 1930-1940's Wool Pile, Natural Dye Tribal Yahyali Area Rug from Yahyali Valley at the skirt of Toros Mountain from SE of Turkey.

         Rug weaving was the most important part of tribal culture in Central Anatolia and weavers were used to pass on motifs and colors to the next generation. That along makes this rug and region where it was made unique and one of a kind.

         It features genuine geometric wheat head motifs atop in beautiful tomato red along with midnight blue at the spanderals. It measures 4'6''x7'9'' and ready to use.
