Wellington As Military Commander by Michael Glover, published by Penguin, 2001, 276 pages, good trade paperback with minor cover edge wear.

Wellington went head to head with Napoleon in numerous campaigns over a course of many years and routed him twice.  The odds were long because Wellington was constantly poorly funded, dealing with long supply lines and had to work to build coalitions with many nations with far different agendas.  Throughout the 19th Century, aspiring young military leaders were always referred to as the next "Young Napoleon," never Wellington.
