Rod McKuen If You Go Away The RCA Years 1965-1968  

7 CDs w/  Autographed Hardcover Book + Autographed Photo

I bought this directly from Rod McKuen at the Hollywood Collectors Show in Burbank, California, in 2008.  I was thrilled to meet Rod because I loved his songs and his poetry. He was extremely nice.

This is a boxed set of 7 CD's of Rod's music, plus a hardcover book autographed by him, and an autographed 7 1/2" x 5" photo as well.  On the title page of the book, at the bottom, Rod wrote #97 (there weren't many autographed copies so this is extra special ), signed his name and wrote 2008 which was when he signed for me.  He also signed "With Love" at the top of the page and signed his name. In addition he drew what looks like a vase with ferns, but I am not sure of what the meaning of that was. The book was written by Todd Everett and it is 103 pages in length with lots of photos. This boxed set was published by Bear Family Records in 2007. Rod numbered it # 97.

The 7 1/2" x 5 1/2" photo was signed, "With love- Rod McKuen, 12 July, 08, Burbank."

It should be noted that this set was never used or handled once purchased.  It has been tucked away in my library for the last many years.  It is is great shape.  However,  for some reason, one of the title songs that was written on the back of the box is crossed out in black marker.  (See photo) I am not sure if that song was not part of the 7 CDs or what.
