Here is a fine polychrome red-and-cream-on-buff stirrup-spout vessel

representing a smiling costumed dignitary seated with crossed legs, a drum

grasped in both hands with a drumstick in his right hand.

This personage wears an elaborately-painted cap with a "starburst" design surrounding

 a concentric pattern, a chest wrap and wide bracelets decorated with parallel hatching.

 6.5" (16.5 cm) high x 4 1/8" (10.5 cm) wide x 5.25" (13.3 cm) front-to-back. This vessel is in

 excellent condition.
