F. P. TILLSON, dealer in drugs, medicines, toilet and fancy articles, was born in Romeo, Macomb Co., Mich., April 26, 1853. He received his education in that State, and learned the drug business in Dixon, Ill.; came to Ishpeming in 1876, and bought an interest in the drug business of J. Ropes & Co., under the firm name of Ropes, Tillson & Co., and continued four years, when he bought out the interest of Mr. Ropes, and since then has successfully continued the business; has a large established trade. (from History of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, 1883).
About Shipping and Handling: All postcards are enclosed in protective sleeves. Postcards are mailed First Class. Tracking is now required by eBay, which is why shipping is now over $2 -- tracking requires that even postcards be shipped as a first class PACKAGE -- which is far more expensive than simply mailing as a first class letter. I package with cardstock or heavier weight paper protecting both sides of the card. I am happy to combine shipping if you buy more than one item from me. Please ask for adjusted shipping amount before payment. If you don't ask before payment, I will refund part of the shipping cost to your PayPal account. Normally you will only pay shipping for the first card.
My shipping charge includes a small handling and packing materials charge, which covers the cost of the packaging and transportation to a post office. I try to use recycled materials for packaging as practical and possible, but there are going to be some costs involved with packaging.
