Nice small antique vintage monogrammed wood box chest in old brown, yellow and black paint. Measures 21"l x 10"w x 8"h. Top and bottom are single board construction, accented with decorative molding. Monogrammed B.E.B. in gold leaf with black paint outline on top of chest. Original paint is mustard yellow on inside rim and under brown paint (seen through paint crazing). Chest does NOT appear to have had any kind of tray insert. Original lock is long gone. Leather straps would have held lid open are gone, but nails that held straps are still intact. Original brass hinges. Sold in as found condition with paint spatter, paint crazing (crackling), dirt, stains, splits. Still in good strong, sturdy condition, Wonderful antique vintage appeal for display and use. Please see pictures for complete condition.
