This is an authentic teak-wood ox cart wheel, typical of the handmade wheels used throughout the Mandalay Kingdom during the Mandalay Period (1752-1885).  During that period local wheelwrights produced durable teak wood wheels like this by hand in villages throughout Southeast Asia. This piece is very heavy; it weighs approximately 9 kilograms. This will make a great decoration that will add rustic splendor to your home, office or restaurant and it will make a great conversation piece. (Note: Ox carts are still used in small villages throughout Southeast Asia, but they now use spoke wheels. Please have a look at the photo of a local ox cart that I took.
