Description

This is a completely unique item - of great interest to collectors of info on early Metallurgique cars or early motoring in general, the facts and figures. This is a journal of all the journeys taken in a 1912 car from 1912 until 1915 and includes a photograph of said car. The travel log includes information such as distance travelled, stopping places and technical details of the Dunlop tyres, and maintenance problems on route as well as names of persons travelling and those employed to work on the car. Storrs Hall in Windermere is featured quite a bit - it could be where the author lived, it would be interesting to do some research on the book.

The book itself is covered in tooled leather and is in very good condition. It is opened by a lock with the original key and the paper edges are gold edged. Only a small part of the book is used, the last entry relates to one of the staff leaving to enlist (in WW1)

An absolutely fascinating item in very good condition - you will not find another.
