These liquid-withdrawal, silicone diaphragm regulators are typically used on stationary, LPG-fueled engines up to about 350 horsepower. They have ports for connecting engine cooling water, which will provide heat to the regulator to help liquid propane vaporize. Rated to accept inlet fuel pressure of up to 312 psi from a LPG cylinder tank and reduce it to about 1.5 psi at the outlet.
The unit begins flowing fuel when it senses negative pressure from the downstream mixer/carburetor. Configurations are available with primer buttons to aid starting (standard) or without primer buttons. Three sensitivities are available:
- Orange spring units require about -0.5" of water to initiate flow. Order MPN: N-H420-OSA (w/ primer button) or N-H420-OSA-NP (without primer button)
- Blue spring units require about -1.5" of water to initiate flow. Order MPN: N-H420-SA (w/ primer button) or N-H420-SA-NP (without primer button)
- Silver spring units require about -2.0" of water to initiate flow. Order MPN: N-H420-SA-2 (w/ primer button) or N-H420-SA-2NP (without primer button)
The H420 can be used in place of the IMPCO Model E, OHG X-1, & LG Motor "Aussie" B2 regulators
