Fuel pump relay harness upgrade for all 1995 model year 6.5L GM diesels. This upgrade modifies the factory fuel pump and oil pressure switch circuit such that the OPS no longer carries the fuel pump load; the OPS will only carry a small load that energizes a relay coil. Significantly increases OPS and fuel pump reliability by reducing the load carried through the oil pressure switch from 4 amps to < 200 mA. Additionally, this wiring harness adds wait-to-start priming so that the fuel pump will run while the glow plugs are energized. In many instances, this upgrade results in more consistent fuel pressure and quicker engine starting. Complete benefits and features are detailed in the specification table below.
Installation is plug-and-play and should take the average DIYer 1 to 2 hours. Comprehensive installation and troubleshooting manual (with pictures) is included.
