MICROLUBROL SYLCAP 284-F Silicone Elastomer Encapsulant Kit, Transparent, Optically Clear, 10:1 Mix, 500 Gm/ML (0.5 Kg). FAST cure time, HALF THE CURING TIME when compared to Sylgard 184 and similar. Includes everything you need to easily and accurately mix anything between a custom sized small batch to a full 500 grams of silicone elastomer resin.

Product features:

  • Transparent / Optically Clear when mixed AND when fully cured. Two-part, 10 to 1 mix ratio.
  • Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) silicone based elastomer. Good flow and spreadability when mixed.
  • Compare to Dow Corning brand Sylgard 184. FASTER CURING TIME PROFILE than DC 184 and similar.
  • Resistant to cold and heat (up to 392ºF, 200ºC). Does not yellow or discolor under UV light. Suitabe for room temperature cure OR heat cure.
  • Room Temperature (72ºF to 77ºF) full cure to approximately 45 Shore A hardness in 10-12 hours. Room Temperature (72ºF to 77ºF) 50% cure to approximately 20-25 Shore A hardness in 4-6 hours.

Heat cure: Curing time at 212ºF is approximately 30-45 minutes (not including recommended one hour standing time at room temperature prior to heating to allow for entrained air bubbles to disappear if not using vacuum debarring).
