Published in Camden's Britannia in 1607, this is the first edition of the map, with cruciform compass rose and verso text in Latin. The map is mounted (museum quality mount board), with a printed area of 360x280mm and later hand colour. It features a scrolled title cartouche, mileage scale, map dividers and compass. One of the earliest printed maps of Wiltshire, the map shows in great detail the county's towns, villages, rivers, hills, hundreds and estates.
