Thanks for looking.
This Spacer fit the Honda VTR1000 Firestorm, Superhawk and CBR 1100 XX Blackbird
This is a 6mm thick Spacer. It fits under the cross frame rail and the shock clevis (check the 7 header pictures which shows where it fits). The 17mm nut to the clevis is between the fuel tank and the seat. The clevis nut is undone (but not removed), the bike then jacked up, so the rear wheel can hang down (so a paddock stand will not work). The spacer can then be slipped in, preferably with the slot facing the front of the bike. The bike lowered off the jack, then the nut re-tightened. All pictured in the heading pictures.
This is my own bike, which I have fitted the 6mm spacer to ( I also list it in 4mm- item number (122092294840). I would not recommend fitting thicker than 6mm or the nut would not have enough thread.
Why fit one. It lifts the rear of the bike slightly ( 18/19mm at the tail light), which steepens the fork rake a little, this in-turn speeds up the steering a little. It also lets the bike lean over a little more on the side stand. Mine was too upright, so always had to make sure it was stable before leaving it parked. (I have had one fall over on its own due to being too upright). I have always dropped the forks though the yolks to get the same effect, but it reduces ground clearance. The spacer increases the ground clearance.
This is a laser cut, made from 6mm Laser cut hard grade Aluminium, and has been rumbled to make it smooth with no sharp edges.
I also list a PAIR's Delete Kit for the VTR1000, item number 123390288286 and Stainless Steel Allan bolt kit for the same bike -item number 122100522914. For the water cooled 4 cylinder Honda's I list the PAIR's kit, item number 113249185613
