A USB-to-UART Bridge Controller.
Uses the common Silicon Laboratories CP2104 chipset.
With the drivers available a Virtual COM Port (VCP) can be set up (if using the official Arduino IDE software this is needed).
The drivers are able to simulate the traditional COM port on most operating systems allowing the existing applications based on COM ports to work with USB.
Exposes the DTR connection. The DTR pin allows an Arduino target board to auto-reset when a sketch is uploaded and not having to manually press the reset button at the correct time.
