Rare Vintage ART JARRETT Big Band Leader SIGNED Photo 1930s Photograph Inscribed and signed: "to lillian most sincerely art jarrett". Sepia 7x5" photo with crease, smudges, dirt and missing upper left corner attached completely to scrapbook paper and with a note by lillian the previous owner that sylvia interviewed art jarrett _+ accompanied her he sure is handsome but dumb (LOL) . Art Jarrett (1907-1987) was a popular singer of the 1930s, scoring his biggest hits ("Everything I Have is Yours", "Did You Ever See a Dream Walking") in 1933. He appeared in several films, beginning with Ace of Aces (1933) and concluding with Trigger Pals (1939), and his voice was heard on many sound tracks. In 1941, he took over the dance orchestra of Hal Kemp, who had been killed in an auto accident. In 1950, Jarrett had a musical show, Rhythm Rodeo on the DuMont TV network. Bottom left corner creased.
