This type of gunwale usually fits over an edge where two surfaces meet together.

Designed to suit 10-12mm edge at 40mm width on base.

This is a flexible PVC product which can accommodate various thicknesses. 

 The ribbed section in the middle of the gunwale is used to grip the edges and often does not need to be fixed into place using other means such as screws or adhesives.

PVC Gunwale Product Guide

 

Product Storage: 

The product should be stored out of direct sunlight and protected from dirt, dust etc.


Product Installation:  

The product can be installed by direct fixing or by the application of a Marine Grade Adhesive. 

To assist with installation the product can be heated to 60 degrees Celcius 

in an air circulation oven, for a minimum of 1 hours +/- 15 minutes.

Note 1.  When direct fixing, a Marine Grade Stainless Steel product must be used.

Note 2.  Heatproof gloves must be worn when handling heated product.

 

Maintenance:  

Clean product with Marine Wash/Wax or in case of stains, a mild abrasive cleaner may be used (Jif).

N.B.  Cleaning with thinners, Petrol or Solvent is not recommended.
