Sidi Bou Said were a London-based rock band that existed during the 1990s. Their music combined an indie rock/folk sound with complex arrangements and literate lyrics. They were often compared to Throwing Muses and the Pixies, with whom they shared lyrical themes - murder, religion, the workings of the human body and surrealist stories and films. Sidi Bou Said had two albums produced by members of Cardiacs. In recent years, the band reformed under the name, “Tetra,” and played a reunion gig on 15th December 2005 (using the Sidi Bou Said name).
