BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE MEDALLION PORCELAIN PLATE 10", QIANLONG MARK, HAND PAINTED. 

 

Very Good! - Circa 1960

Ideal gift for special occasions or collectors. This mark was from a factory, which imported the blank pieces from Jingdezhen, to be hand-painted by artisans in Hong Kong and for export abroad. Beautiful design of people, trees, branches, flowers, butterflies and Chinese traditional objects. No signs of use, no breaks or chips, no lines, no fisures. Suitable for displaying on any furniture. Received by inheritance. No original packaging. 

DESCRIPTION

This is a beautiful vintage Chinese Famille Rose Medaillon style porcelain plate manufactured around the 1970s. The piece features traditional hand-painted alternating panels depicting courtyard scenes with Chinese figures, alongside vibrant panels of flora and fauna, including birds, butterflies, and large peony blossoms. The central medallion showcases a classic bird and foliage design.

The underside features a 'Qianlong' mark, which was widely used during the mid-to-late 20th century on high-quality Chinese export porcelain. The piece captures the timeless aesthetic of classic Canton Rose Medallion ware, making it a fantastic decorative display item.

HISTORICAL ORIGIN & PROVENANCE

This plate belongs to a specific and highly collectible category of mid-20th-century export porcelain. During the 1960s to 1970s, white porcelain blanks manufactured in mainland China (often Jingdezhen) were heavily imported into Hong Kong and Macau to be meticulously hand-decorated and enameled by local master artisans.

Shipments are made with appropriate and sufficient protection. Large, heavy, or fragile items are meticulously packed with professional materials, using bubble wrap, double-layered envelopes/cardboard, and a sturdy box to ensure safe transport.

Note: The measurements are approximate and should be considered with reasonable tolerance for the objects, even more so if they are small (+/- 5 to 10%).
