It is not a rigid bolt-on shield that stands off the hood edge. No drilling, no hardware, no brackets. If you are shopping for a raised acrylic bug shield, this is a different product — please check the photos before buying.

About fifteen minutes with no tools. Clean the hood edge, dry-fit using the guide points, then peel the liner a few inches at a time and press from the centre outward. "Easy install" is the single most common phrase in our customer reviews.
Three things a bolt-on shield cannot do
- Nothing packs in underneath. A standoff shield traps dirt, bugs, snow and road salt against your paint. This bonds flush to the surface, so there is no gap to fill.
- Nothing is drilled. Full-coverage automotive-grade adhesive backing. No holes, no clips, nothing removed from the vehicle.
- Nothing sits above your hood line. A bolt-on shield stands proud of the leading edge. This lies flat on the surface, so it adds no new obstruction in front of forward-facing cameras or sensors. Always confirm accessory guidance for your own vehicle's driver-assist system.
