STERLING SILVER Boxed Set of 6 Cricket Bat (Oar End) Teaspoons – Birmingham 1931 – William Aitken

A quality boxed set of six sterling silver teaspoons in the popular Cricket Bat / Oar End pattern, hallmarked Birmingham 1931 and made by William Aitken.

Each spoon is clearly struck with the lion passant, anchor, date letter “H” for 1931, and the maker’s mark W.A. The pattern is elegant and restrained, typical of inter-war British silver, and remains a favourite with collectors.
