This was mine since the early 1950's, and I remember putting in the lighting kits on 9 similar 3 digit series early 1950's all metal passenger cars, and all of which I am listing on ebay in the next weeks. They all just came back from my Marklin dealer and he said he replaced 18 light bulbs in the nine cars, so now everything is working. This DSG baggage car shows some use, but is in very good condition. No box, as it was not on my mind at about age 7.
The lit passenger cars running with the room lights out were a wonderful sight on my layout. The Marklin whistle, bell, grade crossings, signals. and catenary along with a 78 record player for train sounds, and other lighted things like a station, engine sheds, crane etc. were like nothing anyone else that I knew had. All happened way before video games came along... Those are the days to re-live, my friends. Put together some items and let me know in advance so I can put together an invoice with the right packaging and freight, and you can save some money on freight costs with everything in one box. Ships UPS ground.
