A fully functional D.A.M. Quick 1001 skirted spool ultra-light spinning reel in good, used condition with two spare spools and the original owner's manuals. The two spare spools are probably worth the $30 listing price but you will also get a fully functional reel! The photos should give you what you need to judge its quality-- please note there are some areas where the matte black finish has worn away; most notably on the stem where your hand grips the reel. I bought this reel in 1983 and used it quite a bit but I have switched over to fly fishing. The handle can be reversed for cranking by left or right handed anglers. It features a skirted spool (a relatively new feature at the time of production) and push-button spool release. The drag is still smooth and the anti-reverse lever engages properly. The bail still operates as intended and the spring was replaced not long before I put this reel on the shelf in favor of other toys in my tackle arsenal. The German engineering of this reel is superb and it should have many hours of useful life if you do a little basic lubrication. Given the paint wear this is probably not a collector's piece but it is definitely a good addition to your tackle box if you want a top-quality spinning reel at an affordable price.
Shipping within the USA will be via US Postal Service Priority Mail using a new, medium flat-rate box at an estimated cost of $25.80. The cost for this shipping is set by the US Postal Service and is non-negotiable unless the winning bidder chooses to pick up the item from Oakton, Virginia. Shipping costs for buyers from outside the USA will be set by eBay's global shipping program and would be in addition to the winning bid price.
