Up for your consideration is a 1999 Royal Copenhagen (of Denmark) porcelain Christmas plate, depicting a sleigh ride. A horse is pulling an old fashioned sleigh across a bridge, with a church in the background and two pheasants in the foreground. The plate is called The Sleigh Ride and was designed by Sven Vestergaard. The plate has a border with a star at the top and the year 1999 at the bottom.

The plate measures 7 1/8 inches across and weighs 13 1/2 ounces.

The back is marked: "HJEM MED TRAET" - "THE SLEIGH RIDE" - stylized initials SV (standing for Sven Vestergaard) - Royal (crown) Copenhagen Denmark, then 3 wavy blue lines with initials CH. There are 2 holes in the rim for hanging the plate.

The plate is in excellent, like-new condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing. There are no signs of wear or use.
