Antique Dazey Churn No. 40 hand-crank glass butter churn by the Dazey Churn & Mfg. Co. of St. Louis, Missouri.

An absolutely fantastic piece of early American kitchen and farmhouse history!

The original square glass jar is embossed:

DAZEY CHURN

NO. 40

DAZEY CHURN MFG. CO.

ST. LOUIS, MO.

MADE IN U.S.A.

Features the wonderful exposed cast-metal Dazey hand-crank mechanism with large gear, wooden crank handle, metal lid and wooden dasher/paddle assembly inside the jar.

The metal mechanism has substantial age-related oxidation, surface rust, finish loss and patina throughout, giving this churn an incredible untouched antique appearance. The wooden components also show age and use.

Glass shows normal antique wear but presents beautifully, with the embossed Dazey markings still clearly visible. There are 2 larger chip and small chips under the lid and several tiny chips around the rim outside of the lid. See a great piece to display.
